Raku Workshop September 12 &13
Come and join us to experience the fun and excitement of Raku!
In this weekend workshop we will explore glazing, firing and cleaning our Raku pieces.
Friday afternoon we will glaze our pieces using studio glazes and talk about the different techniques such as horse hair raku, naked raku, obvara and ferric chloride. Once we are finished glazing, Will is going to provide appetizers for us and while we eat we can make our plans for Saturday.
Saturday we will get started with a healthy breakfast while the kiln heats up. Once the kiln is up to temp we will do our first pull. The first pieces we pull will be test pieces that you can practice using the tongs. Then we will be loading and firing your pieces until we get everything through the kiln. Lunch will be a healthy spread of food that we can graze on. At the end of the day we will have a little show and tell and talk about our results.
The total for the workshop and meals is 175.00
